ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP

CCCREA has recently changed its bylaws to allow those Contra Costa County employees who are planning to retire in the not too distant future, and also those persons who would just like to stay informed of retirement issues and benefits, to become Associate Members.

Associate Members cannot have their dues deducted from a benefit check (as regular members do), so they are charged $12 per year (payable by check), prorated to the date of their application.

MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS

Associate Members enjoy all the benefits of regular members, except they are not eligible for the scholarship program, the supplemental insurance program (premiums are deducted from benefit checks), and Associate Members cannot vote or serve on the Board of Directors.
